Design Ambassador- Jesse James Beads

     In July I had the honor of being accepted as a design ambassador for Jesse James Beads! What's a design ambassador you ask? Well according to the JJB website a Jesse James Beads brand ambassador is "A lover of design, a trendsetter, a teacher, and a bead enthusiast." Well, I know that I love designing, creating, and wearing jewelry, so it was a no-brainer to sign up! The site also says "JJB Brand ambassadors are our top fans and content creators helping spread the word about Jesse James Beads and inspiring others to create their own beautiful beaded creations." I have always loved to help other designers or new creators, whether it be figuring out a design or what materials to use. I try to help others to the best of my abilities and sometimes learn something new in the process. Many of my best designs were created by accident or by experimenting with a new technique. That is what I love about jewelry design there are endless possibilities! Jesse James Beads are beautiful and unique and I'm excited to have this opportunity to work with a great team and company!

You may be wondering what the requirements are to become a design ambassador so I'm going to give you a few that they have listed on their website ( you can always refer to Jessejamesbeads.com for more information). The first requirement is a minimum of 100 social media followers on either Facebook, Instagram, or Youtube. Why is this? Well as design ambassadors we are sharing and promoting JJB products and they need an audience! Second, you must be able to post on social media 4x a month and one of those is required to be a video. I love the creative freedom to just create with these beautiful products and to share my passion for jewelry with my friends and followers. There are also special hashtags we must use on posts so that they are easy to find and counted towards your required posts for the month. Just be professional and have fun! 

How do you apply to be a design ambassador? 

Visit the Jesse James Beads website ( JesseJamesBeads.com) and click on the design ambassador tab. There you will find all of the information about the program and the application to sign up. You will have to provide your name, social links, and why you would like to become a design ambassador. If you are accepted you will be notified via email. I am only on my second month in this program but my impression is that this is a friendly and helpful bead and jewelry community with amazing and talented creators. I am so honored that I get to be a part of this community. 

   

What are some of the perks of being a design ambassador? Every month we receive our design kit filled with a beautiful assortment of bead strands and mixes to design with. We never know what we are going to receive, it's like getting a mystery box every month! There are other perks for YouTubers with a certain number of subscribers and the opportunity to become an affiliate. Promotion of your work on the Jesse James social accounts is another amazing perk for design ambassadors. It helps immensely to grow your following and attract new customers if you sell your designs.
